Prof. Jinia Roy at IEEE PEASA 2026

We are pleased to share that Prof. Jinia Roy participated in the IEEE PELS Power Electronics and Applications for Space and Aerospace (PEASA) Conference as an invited speaker and member of the organizing committee.
During the conference, she presented her invited talk, “Reimagining Power Electronics for High-Power Electric Propulsion in Space,” highlighting emerging challenges and opportunities in developing high-power, efficient, and reliable power electronic systems for future space missions. She also engaged with researchers, industry leaders, and students working to advance space power, propulsion, and energy systems.
The conference brought together experts from across academia, industry, and government to discuss emerging solutions in space power conversion, thermal management, reliability, system integration, and design optimization. These discussions reflect the growing importance of advanced power electronics in enabling next-generation high-power electric propulsion, resilient spacecraft platforms, and ambitious long-duration space missions.
Support from the Space Power and Propulsion for Agility, Responsiveness, and Resilience (SPAR) program has enabled exciting new research opportunities and collaborations in high-power space systems and advanced space power electronics.
